Photo from High Point Market Showroom introducing the Meg Braff Wallcovering |
Shortly thereafter, I decided to try the Meg Braff in the sunroom instead (read more here). I loved the idea of mixing the green and turquoise, but I was always a bit hesitant of getting rid of the turquoise walls that I love so much in that room!
So my mind continued to think of any other room in the house. I considered powder rooms. But I loved this paper so much, I wanted it to be a STATEMENT piece in the house. And then it happened. The 'aha' moment! I recalled the Annie Selke mudroom that I'd seen in House Beautiful and I loved it so much because it was so colorful!

WELL YOU JUST WAIT!
Tada.....that Meg Braff paper is going in my MUDROOM people! From head to toe! And to top it off, I am going to paint my mudroom interior door a bright color!

Now, I need your input...what color should I paint the interior door?
A. Sunshine Yellow (similar to above)
B. Turquoise
C. Orange
D. Lacquer Black
E. Your own suggestion
Thanks for any input! I hope you're as excited about this as I am! I'll be posting before and after photos of this...Hopefully it will be papered in the next week.

Tough one! I say turquoise or orange. Love the wallpaper!
Oh your choice is fabulous. I love that paper! and...I love your sunroom!
If it were my space, I would want the paper to "Shine"! I think I would paint the door the green that is in the paper. I wouldn't want anything to distract from that spectacular paper!
TOTALLY TURQUOISE!!!
Hi Heather! This is a a great plan! I love it. I am voting for turquoise if that secondary color in the paper is that color. This will be so fun. Can't wait to see it!

Oh! I posted that photo from House Beautiful awhile ago... that chair, that fabulous red dutch door!! I want it so badly!! For you ... I agree that turquoise that seems to be the secondary color in the print. FABULOUS!!! xo Kim
I can't wait!! I think turquoise would be fab, or maybe a chartreuse.
How fun is this! I too am using the Bamboo Green Up a Tree in a bedroom. Saw it in HP as well. I love the turq with it as it brings out the touch of it in the wallpaper. But also love the black idea. Have you thought about the orange as you mentioned using orange in the room???Can not wait to see the results!
Good morning Heather! I mentioned you and featured Antionette Wysocki today on my blog! Thanks for passing on inspiration! Hope you have a great day.

That wallpaper is TO DIE FOR! I'm obsessed. I'd go with turquoise or high gloss powder blue. xx
That is going to be sooo beautiful! Im going to vote for a classic black lacquer-black contrasting with that green would be divine!
That's a tough one but I'd vote for either turquoise or black. Or maybe navy blue - I love the combination of kelly green and navy (reminds me of my preppy days in childhood!).
A little late but I would have voted for lacquer black. I see that you are painting it turquoise which would have been my second choice.
My first thought was Black! but I live in the dust bowl and I discovered that black is hard to take care of here. In Conn you might not have that problem. Even with the dust I love the black lacquer every time I see it.
