Mudroom Mania

I've been dying to share an update on my Mudroom Makeover.   I was hoping for one 'voila' moment but I think I've had enough things come together since my last reveal.  Here are the updates I've made:

1. I purchased the Linens N Things X Benches and recovered them in the Calico Corners Seeing Spots Fabric (separate post to follow).

2. I added the West Elm White Lacquer Console Bench and put the 'Kelly Wearstler' (Home Goods lamps) on top.

3. Styled the console with a few Nate Berkus Target Accessories.

4. And purchased the Grandin Road Lola Outdoor Rug to add (not arrived, not pictured)

I also purchased Fuschia Cord that I'm going to use for trim around the x benches.

And Lisa Mende and Traci Zeller designed a room in the Adamsleigh Showhouse that was spectacular.  They trimmed the room with grosgrain ribbon and nail heads.  It truly inspired me to try the same in my own house.  I'm considering doing it in the mudroom...I'd love to go bold and try a hot pink (but I'm nervous to do this on top of the Meg Braff).  I could go conservative and do a solid black ribbon trim...What are your thoughts?

I had some fun and decided to play around with how the pink trim might look in that room.  I'd just go around the doorways and baseboards, not the ceiling boards...Also, I'd repaint the turquoise door to lacquer black to 'minimize' so many different colors going on in there.  This pink is a bit too fluorescent in the photo (it's photoshop) but there's a grosgrain ribbon in a deep hot pink that I have in mind.

I will share more as the room develops but now that I've gotten the vision, so many ideas are floating through my head!  I've decided to just go for it and not hold back (well, I am still hesitant on the nailhead trim but I don't think I'd regret it).

I bought the same Nate Berkus pineapple but in white color, and the same urchin in brass!
Love what you did here, so colorful!
A crush on this white and green wallpaper!!!

I'm obsessed with that ribbon trim/nailhead detail as well. I think hot pink would be good, or maybe a navy?

What a space! And you call it a MUD ROOM?
Love Lisa and Traci's ribbon and tack idea!
If in a color question, purchase a tad of both and see it in the room.

Would you nailhead the turquoise door? Love your "mudroom". I need some color and wallpaper recommendations for my entry. You want to do a virtual blogsultation?

Love it Heather! Love that wallpaper and the console all styled so pretty. Gotta add that pink cord to the benches and I did my laundry walls in Nailhead trim and jute, so just to mention the 3 holes each stud made when tapped into the wall were teeny tiny. I love the pink trim idea.

The space is just spectacular. I would love to see pink trim but the black would look great too. Its one of those things that would take me a year to think through.
