ORC: Week 5 3/4 Pom Pom Panels

I'm telling ya'll...I've been completing projects in double time this week.  At the beginning of this challenge, I set out to trim my room in Petersham ribbon and nail head border.  Yet, the silly ribbon has been on back order LITERALLY since August 12th.  I cancelled the ribbon order last week and went for plan B.

Lately I've been a huge fan of the French tassel window panels.  Serena and Lily introduced these earlier this year and they had me drooling:

I'm also a huge fan of panels lined in pom pom fringe like below:

So, when I spotted this fabulous pom pom fringe on Etsy's shop, Ichi My Love, I ordered it on the spot for my Target guest room panels.  A few concerns.  The seller was located in Taiwan.  I wanted this in time for the One Room Challenge reveal a week later.  So after a few emails with Na of Ichi My Love, my trim was in transit via expedited shipping to good ole Connecticut.  (Yes, you can make most things happen for a price...let's just say I paid more in shipping costs than I did for this trim.  But it was WORTH IT!)

I'm no seamstress.  I'm all about stitch witchery.  All of the time!  It is instant.
Easy. Quick. With great results.  Here's proof:

I managed to get two entire panels complete in the first fifteen minutes of the horribly cheesy George Clooney version of  'Batman and Robin'....  (Robin: [checking out the Batmobile] I want a car, chicks dig the car.   Batman: This is why Superman works alone).  Luckily, it was lights out for my son at 8:15pm and I was done with these babies just in time!

Tomorrow I'll tackle the other window.

The room is still getting pulled together.  I didn't even move the step stool from these iphone photos.  I promise better photos for the final reveal on Thursday (remember, I'm a linking participant so my reveal will come then).

I do like the extra bit of detail that the trim gives the panels.  What do you think?

If you're just joining the One Room Challenge journey with Vivid Hue Home, catch up on the last 5 weeks here:

Great job!! I just did the exact same thing to drapes for my daughter's big girl room -- Stitch Witchery is amazing! Also if you haven't been, check out Affordable Fabrics on the Silas Deane highway-- lots of inexpensive trim, fringe, tassels, etc.

Good luck with the room!

Super cute! And I love that you didn't have to sew a stitch!

As I commented on Instagram, I love these window panels and am definitely going to re-create yours with the pom pom trim. I've never heard of Stitch Witchery before. I don't sew either so this is great! Can't wait to see the full reveal!
